| Dragon Age. |

| | artistic | ] | I'm sure that we're all eeeagerly awaiting November the 3rd and the release of what will probably be the RPG of the decade. These are a few thoughts that I've come up with the past few days.
Towards the end of June, I started running again and getting pretty into physical activity, as is standard during the Summer months. I had just recently gotten down my 2-mile down to less than 15 minutes!
HOWEVER, I have come to the realization that with Dragon Age being released tomorrow, I will develop both manbreasts and a second chin. My only hope is that my manbreasts are as magnanimous as the ironforged pecks of my Dwaven noble, whilst my second chin grows a second mouth that constantly reminds myself and everyone around of how great Dragon Age is.
I have no intention of eating healthy, either. In the time that I could get a six grams of fat sub or less sub made from Subway, someone can toss me an already-made burger through a drive-thru window and with that time-saved, squeeze in an extra 14 Orc cleavings.
What's more, I'm glad Dragon Age is going to take me under. I want it to ruin me. <3

I figured I'd ask my friends' list before the random LJ community. Haha.
Thanks in advance! =)

Also, the CD was ordered today! Upon its arrival on July 3rd, it'll be ideal "in the car but don't feel like rigging the IPOD" music. |

Any con is great if enough people are there to drink and scam around hotels with! |

I'm cosplaying Schneizel el Britannia from Code Geass for Otakon Saturday(?). Eeee! For the first time, my group will actually be cosplaying the same thing!
Let me know if / when you guys are also going to be in Geass outfits!
Or feel free to leave comments suggesting that this is gay, because it really and truly is. |

| | thoughtful | ] | Dragon*Con's guest list isn't looking as impressive as it did in years previous.
On the Battlestar end, it's great to see Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos, but the rest of the cast seems to be either disinterested or booked (sans Aaron Douglas who will be returning to his fangirl fornication land).
On the fantasy end, a few authors that I like also seem to be taking passes this time around.
Thoughts? |

Sci-Fi channel fans, ASSEMBLE! On May 30th, Merlin and the Book of Beasts will air on Sci-Fi channel. STARRING... James Callis as Merlin! As a fan of Arthurian legends and femmey-religous-Baltarian-cultleaders, I will surely be either tuning in or DVRing.

| | frustrated | ] | The Cardinals really gave the bulkier, favored-to-win team a run for their money... but the lovable underdog doesn't always triumph on the scoreboard. The game really has a feeling to it similar to as if David were to nail Goliath between the eyes, but Goliath just got back up and kicked him in the groin.
I'm just amazed at how many times the questionable defense of the Cardinals really stepped up to bat when needed, sans the very end. Warner and Fitzgerald played amazing football despite double-coverage the entire game. |

| | chipper | ] | I've taken up alot of new hobbies and am revisiting alot of old ones as several new shows are really catching my eye and older shows are returning for new seasons. I guess the purpose of this is to: - Let me know what else is cool/I've been missing to this point.
- Find even more common interests existing with my beloved LiveJournal community.
- Have badass conversation about said things in the future!
- Spur some interaction so our friendships don't stagnate between cons/get-togethers/shindigs/swarays. <3
Alrighty, I've recently become (very) addicted to: Heroes, Fringe, and The Office. Anything else that I should be catching up on? ^_^
Within the past two weeks, 24 and Battlestar Galactica have both had their premieres and I am empathically immersed all over again with both. What'd you guys think of the premieres/plots thus far?! It feels like an awesome time to be alive and able to view things! <3
As for recent movies, I saw Defiance and I really liked the style/feel of the movie. Daniel Craig is really cool-looking/badass (It's a bromance, okay? Totally hetero.). I'd reccomend it if you're a fan of WW2 history and don't mind a Robin Hood picture. I'm looking forward to Underworld 3 this Friday, and moreso Watchmen in March/Star Trek in Summer. How about you guys?! |

I became so lifted today when I saw on a status update that an old friend became engaged. I first met Faith when I was 17 or 18. I was a freshman in community college, she was an upper-classman taking Japanese there. Although we had talked a few times about intimacy, we were really too different... or I never gave it a chance because I was shallow and simple as a freshman.
From the time that I started hanging out with her, she always had this friend Rob with her. Within just a short while of exposure to them, you could tell that Rob had legitimate feelings for Faith, and I think that everyone was aware sans maybe Faith. They were so alike... They encountered one another in a poetry-club in middle school and remained best friends throughout it and high-school. Common interests weren't their only likeness either; their values were very classical and I really liked that. Neither of them were the type to run around and have one-night stands. They were the type to sit next to one another reading or writing.
And throughout the years that I hung out with them actively, Rob never really made his feelings known to her... and I can't even begin to imagine how agonizing it must have been for him. While she talked about and pursued her affections for other people, he was always there. I often thought that he lived at her house where we all hung out; watching anime or just putting on costumes and doing ridiculous impersonations. I think the reason that this affected me so much is because it is the first time that I've seen or been close enough to see and comprehend love. The resilience of his affection was able to endure so much and for so long. I never took him aside and said, "You're the strongest person I know," even though I may have often thought it. Faith was a romantic as well, and although I would never call her boy-crazy, she despised being alone and it is only natural for young women to pursue the unknown and the exotic, always overlooking what was right there.
The two finally became intimate in early 2008 and engaged in October of 2008. As cheesy as I may sound, I actually got chills when I read that over Facebook. They weren't the high-fliers who bumped into one another at a function and decided the pieces fit. They weren't the life-long high-school sweetheart couple who always knew it would happen. They were the introspective dreamers who saw one another grow up. They were best friends who spent the last innumerable amount of Friday nights next to one another on the couch with books in front of them.
Rob proposed at Disney World in front of a fountain. I absolutely couldn't be happier for them.

| | contemplative | ] | "Hello ladies... and... gentlemeaean... We will be tonight's... updatertainment."
I've been starting my job search and I'm really glad that I went with the business degree as opposed to a psychology degree. Some offers have been made, but a few would take me farther away than I am really comfortable with. New York sounded interesting, but I don't really have any reliable connections in the area and although gregarious, it is tough to set up an entirely new social network in unfamiliar surroundings. I'm also beginning to favor being a business-to-business Sales Executive as opposed to HR. The last of upcoming interviews I have scheduled is the 15th, so we shall see how things go.
Truth-be-told, I can't wait to get a job and start meeting new people. I want to start encountering people in the same stage of life as I am and who prioritize the same things that I do.
Fun Stuff: I'm still WoWing, reading, catching up on my viewings of Heroes and The Office, playing Resistance 2 (which didn't dissapoint) and... I guess that was basically it. |

I couldn't ask for anyone more qualified with regards to the subject matter. Stephen Braude for anyone interested.) I'll post any findings/results if we end up having any.
My local friends are also having a small Halloween get-together on the actual holiday, so at the very least I'll be inebriated on the holiday. |

LOL. Really and truly, it wasn't bad. The key to anime cons is to bring a sufficient amount of flouncy costumes and alcohol, wear/consume all, hang out with distant friends, lather, rinse, and repeat. |
